In June 2003, the Task Force to Study Pinhole Leaks in Copper Plumbing was authorized (Chapter 476, Acts of 2003). The Task Force is to research the extent, patterns, and trends of pinhole leakage in Maryland; investigate causes of pinhole leaks in copper plumbing; determine what effect pinhole leaks have on homeowner insurance coverage; and make recommendations to solve the problem of pinhole leaks.
Authorization for the Task Force extends through January 31, 2005.
